Companionship is the one thing radio offers that no other content medium can provide. That’s why I prepare first to be a good companion on the air every day—someone listeners can ride with, laugh with, and feel understood by—then I bring the rest. From there, I focus on finding entertaining ways to spotlight what’s happening locally and framing bigger, not-so-local stories in a way that feels personal and relatable to the people listening right here. Radio is still one of the last truly local mediums, so every show has to reflect the personality of the community while making the rest of the world feel like it actually matters in their day.
